She is also a board member at Front Step Community Land Trust and has worked with limited equity housing cooperatives in New York City as a staff member at UHAB. In addition to her work in affordable housing and communications she holds an MFA in poetry and is co-founder of a poetry library, reading room, and social space in Missoula, MT.

Our ROC team spent five days in Cincinnati last week to learn, connect, and celebrate with ROC USA affiliates and partners from across the country. We had a great week spending time with colleagues and discussing important topics ranging from insurance to refinances...and we got to have a little fun at a Reds game!

These are the residents of the View Vista Community, a Park County ROC established in 2020. After years of underground water leaks and failing septic infrastructure, they will receive brand-new water and sewer lines this summer, bringing safer, more reliable utilities and improving daily life for the residents.

We are participating in Park County Community Foundation's Give A Hoot Community Giving Challenge to raise $5,000 for landscaping improvements after the infrastructure project is complete. Together, we can help ensure that View Vista not only has safe and reliable infrastructure but also remains a welcoming and vibrant place to live for years to come.

Our second annual Housing Night was even better than the last! Thanks to everyone who joined us! It was an incredible evening of baseball and community in support of affordable housing.

On top of a great game, it was so much fun for us and our local housing partners to play games with you at our carnival on the concourse and connect throughout the evening. We are excited about the auction winners who took home Housing Night specialty jerseys that were generously sponsored by Park Side Credit Union. Plus, one lucky raffle winner won a pair of paddle boards donated by Scheels!

Most importantly, the raffle and specialty jersey auction proceeds are helping support housing efforts through Homeword, Missoula Housing Authority, Habitat for Humanity of Missoula, Front Step Community Land Trust and NeighborWorks Montana.

Let’s hear it for our amazing partners! Missoula PaddleHeads, Park Side Credit Union, Missoula Organization of REALTORS, Scheels, First Security Bank Missoula, City of Missoula, Missoula County, Montana - Government, Missoula Redevelopment and all our amazing housing organizations who made this event possible.

The Whitefish Community Foundation is graciously supporting the acquisition and preservation of Twin Willows, formerly Twin Acres and Willow Glen mobile home parks, in south Kalispell with a $75,000 Major Community Project grant. Once the purchase is complete, the 55 households at Twin Willows will become our 23rd resident owned community (ROC) in Montana. A big thank you to the foundation and all our partners who are making this preservation possible!
