Today, I want to take a moment to recognize someone who means a great deal to me personally and to the Great Falls Association of REALTORS®—Ariel, on her work anniversary with GFAR.

There are a lot of things that happen behind the scenes to keep an Association like ours moving forward every day, and Ariel is at the heart of so many of them. She takes care of our members, keeps me pointed in the right direction, handles the unexpected, and does it all with a level of professionalism and commitment that I deeply respect.

But what I appreciate most about Ariel isn't just the work she does. It's how much she genuinely cares about the people she does it for.

Our members know they can call her, stop by the office, ask a question, or need some help—and Ariel will do everything she can to take care of them. That trust and respect aren't given because of a job title. They're earned over time, and Ariel has absolutely earned them.

On a personal level, I cannot adequately express how much I appreciate having her beside me at GFAR. We have worked through busy days, big events, changes, challenges, new ideas, and probably more than a few moments where we've wondered how we were going to get everything done. Through all of it, she has been someone I can count on.

Ariel, I appreciate you. I respect you. And I am incredibly grateful for everything you bring to this Association and to our members.

GFAR is better because you're here!

We Remember. 🇺🇸

Today, the Great Falls Association of REALTORS® pauses to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

Twenty-five years later, we remember not only the tragedy of that day, but the courage, sacrifice, service, and unity that followed.

May we never forget what it means to stand together as Americans.

We were honored to welcome Congressman Troy Downing to the Great Falls Association of REALTORS® alongside the Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and an outstanding group of community leaders.

As we move into August, the housing outlook across the Great Falls Association of REALTORS® footprint remains one of opportunity, growth, and preparation.

Our community continues to experience unprecedented interest from employers, developers, investors, and families looking to call North Central Montana home. Major projects including the Sentinel modernization, Janicki Industries, healthcare expansion, higher education investments, and continued business recruitment are creating long-term demand for housing throughout our region.

While inventory has improved from earlier this year, the need for additional housing remains significant. Every segment of the market—from entry-level homes and workforce housing to move-up properties, executive housing, rentals, and future residential developments—will play an important role in meeting the needs of our growing community.

Your Association remains actively engaged with local government, developers, economic development partners, builders, Malmstrom Air Force Base, and community leaders to advocate for responsible growth, support private property rights, and help remove barriers to housing development.

We believe REALTORS® should have a seat at every table where housing decisions are being made.

As REALTORS®, each of us has the opportunity to be more than a transaction facilitator—we are ambassadors for our communities, trusted advisors for our clients, and advocates for responsible growth that strengthens neighborhoods and preserves the quality of life that makes the Great Falls area such a special place to live.
