🌧️Rain Reminder – Irrigation System Shutdown🌧️
To help conserve water and operate our system efficiently, the district irrigation system will be shut down during periods of rain. Irrigating while receiving natural rainfall is unnecessary and wastes valuable water resources.
We would also like to remind all members that while the irrigation system is available from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, this does not mean your irrigation should run continuously during those hours. Excessive watering wastes water and reduces both water availability and pressure for other district members.
Please use only the amount of water necessary for your property and be considerate of your neighbors who share the system. Running your irrigation for the entire 14-hour watering window is considered flood irrigation and is not permitted under district rules. The irrigation schedule is intended to provide flexibility, not to allow continuous watering throughout the day.
Working together helps ensure adequate water pressure and water availability for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to responsible water use.

IRRIGATION DO’S AND DON’TS 2026

Irrigation water is turned on May 15th and must be turned off on October 15th of each year.

Because of the deteriorated systems and cost increases, we will be on odds and evens again this year, meaning odd numbered days.

Properties with ODD addresses will irrigate on ODD numbered days and addresses with EVEN numbers will water on EVEN numbered days.

However, because there are more addresses with ODD numbers than EVEN, we have selected certain addresses to switch to have approximately same number of acres being watered each day.

Your watering day (ODD or EVEN) is just that, your day, from midnight to midnight. You are not allowed to have your system running for any reason on the opposite day. Doing so could result in a loss of your privileges.

Drinking Water Usage

Our covenants allowed for irrigation lines with nozzles a maximum of 3/16” diameter. Any system that has more output than that is not permitted and will be a violation of our water regulations.

The use of drinking water is not permitted for watering or irrigation, except by use of one handheld water hose (key word=handheld; that means you are holding it) no more than 3/4” in diameter. This can be used for immediate housing areas, (shrubs, trees, gardens, or animal care). Watering your lawn with drinking water costs the District substantial increases in treatment chemicals and electricity! Here is an example of the Monthly gallons of water usage/abuse 2024:

January: 504,500 February: 505,900 March: 574,700 April: 497,200

May: 562,000 June: 782,900 July: 1,204,900 August: 991,800

September: 770,300 October: 709,500 November: 524,900 December: 555,500

The substantial increases in treatment chemicals and electricity are the major reasons for the increases in customer fees!!!

As a result of these Drinking Water Abuses, infractions will not be tolerated and result in immediate consequences, up to and including water being disconnected.
