The first day of summer is officially here, and that means longer days, sunshine, backyard gatherings, and simple recipes that don't keep you stuck in the kitchen.

🍓 Easy Summer Berry Shortcake Cups

Ingredients:

1 pound fresh strawberries, sliced
2 tablespoons sugar
Store-bought angel food cake, cubed
Whipped topping

Directions:

Toss strawberries with sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
Layer angel food cake cubes, strawberries, and whipped topping in a cup or small bowl.
Repeat layers and serve immediately.
