❌ MYTH: "I'm going to wait until mortgage rates drop to 5% before I buy a home."

✅ FACT: Waiting for a specific interest rate could actually cost you more.

Here's why…

No one—not economists, lenders, or Realtors—can predict exactly where mortgage rates are headed.

If rates do come down, it's likely that more buyers will jump back into the market. More buyers can mean more competition, multiple offers, and potentially higher home prices.

The better question isn't "Should I wait for 5%?"

It's "Am I financially ready to buy?"

If buying makes sense for your financial situation today, remember—you may be able to refinance your mortgage in the future if rates improve. But you can't go back and purchase today's home at yesterday's price.

Every buyer's situation is different, which is why it's important to make decisions based on your goals—not headlines.
