Today, we pause to remember the 2,977 souls we lost on September 11, 2001, a day that forever changed our nation. We honor the mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, and friends who went to work or boarded a flight and never came home.

We also stand in profound awe of the heroes who emerged from the ashes. The first responders, firefighters, police officers, and ordinary citizens who ran toward the danger when every instinct said to flee. Their courage in the face of unimaginable darkness remains a testament to the enduring strength and unbreakable spirit of the American people. We were a nation united by grief, but bound together by an unyielding resolve and profound love for our country.

This week, that enduring resilience was beautifully illuminated in the night sky. In a moving tribute titled “2,977 Lights Over New York Harbor,” 2,977 drones took flight, one for every life tragically cut short. Rising above the water, these lights assembled to recreate the towering silhouettes of the Twin Towers at their full architectural scale. It was a breathtaking, futuristic act of remembrance developed alongside survivors and victims' families, ensuring that the legacy of those we lost shines brighter than ever. Twenty-five years later, we do not forget. We carry their memories forward. We honor the sacrifices made. We remain forever proud, forever strong, and forever united.🇺🇸

What an incredible turnout at the 2026 College and Career Night at the Clay County Fairgrounds! We had a highly successful evening meeting with eager high school juniors, seniors, and their families as they explored their post-graduation pathways. It was absolutely wonderful to connect face-to-face with the bright youth in our community. Whether their next steps are to enroll, enlist, or step straight into the workforce, hearing about their ambitious goals and helping them chart their futures was truly inspiring. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, ask questions, and share their plans.
