What HGTV Doesn’t Show You About Being a Realtor in Jacksonville 😂🏡
You know those glamorous real estate shows where everything is designer outfits, million-dollar deals, and champagne? 🥂
Yeah… that’s not what last week looked like for me.
Here’s the REAL behind-the-scenes of a Jacksonville real estate agent: 👇
✅Battled aggressive Florida weeds at one of my listings 🌱(I won. Barely.)
✅Went to Walmart to get a can of paint color-matched to the walls of one of my listings 🎨 Was told it would get lighter when dry… DID. NOT. HAPPEN. 😩 Went to Home Depot to get a new can of paint, which was perfectly matched 🙌 (Note to self: Don't buy paint where you buy groceries 🛒❌)
✅Became a part-time painter at my listing and realized every wall in existence suddenly needed touch-ups 🖌️
✅Led my Saturday real estate coaching call and got fired up for the weekend 🔥💻
✅Spent more than an hour putting out 43 Open House signs and flags 🚩 for my Saturday open house, then spent more than a half hour pulling them up again 😵💫 (Technically, Dave put the signs out. But he works for me, so as his boss I still get the credit. 😎 That's how employment works! 😉)
✅Warmly greeted nearly a dozen people at my Bartram Springs open house 🤝🏡 Met two women named Helen and one named Helene! 😄 Didn't realize how common that name is!
✅Filmed content so you just happen to keep seeing me in your feed 👀📲
✅Walked a home and created a “how to get top dollar” game plan for a future seller 💰📊
Real estate isn’t just contracts and closings. It’s problem-solving, prepping, marketing, negotiating, and yes… occasionally landscaping and painting too 😄
