Laurel worked in manufacturing for over 37 years and served as a committee member for IAM Local Union, before transitioning to Real Estate full time. She has adopted 4 children through kinship foster care. One of them with special needs. Laurel loves getting the kids outside to enjoy the same activities she did as a child, from kite flying, swimming, fishing, camping, bike riding, and sledding just to name a few. Laurel is an active member of St. Mathias Catholic Parish where I currently teach Christian Formation classes. Laurels business partner, Julia Frederick, ran a in home daycare for over 25 years. Julia has raised her daughter who is now happily married to Robert Kamholz. Melinda, Bob and Julia’s 2-year-old grand-daughter live West of Oshkosh, WI. Julia graduated from Bay View High School in 1985. She became a foster parent in her early 20’s. Julia remained a foster care provider for over 20 years. Laurel and Julia are big time sports fans- Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers, only to name a few. Both are animal lovers which Julia has a little dog named “Meeko”.
