BlackRock chief investment officer Rick Rieder has suddenly emerged as the leading contender to chair the Federal Reserve.

After President Donald Trump called him a “very impressive” candidate, Rieder, the firm’s chief investment officer of global fixed income, saw his odds jump from 3% to over 40% on Polymarket, overtaking former Fed Gov. Kevin Warsh. His rise follows praise from Trump and White House advisor Kevin Hassett, who called him “the best bond guy.”

A small hand size stain in the crawlspace during the inspection called for further evaluation. This repair became a few thousand dollars. It’s important to have a good home inspection and to do further evaluation with qualified contractors.

I can say that I’ve never had to put out an electrical fire on an inspection before. With this kind of defect I would recommend an electrician go through the entire electrical system.
