Meet The Experts | Ron Kalpak, Sales Executive

Ron discovered Reynolds Lake Oconee as a student and fell in love with the area. An accomplished collegiate tennis player, he became the community's first Head Tennis Professional and later joined the Reynolds Lake Oconee Properties team. Celebrating 31 years as a Sales Executive, Ron remains passionate about Reynolds real estate and helping his clients live life as it ought to be. A bass fishing champ and fly fishing enthusiast, he proposed to his wife Heidi at "Proposal Point" on the lake. Wish I could have made it to the awards ceremony, but as a coach to the Lake Oconee Academy boys and girls tennis teams I had to miss watching this special honor be awarded to our group. Reynolds Lake Oconee was awarded the Top Producing Team by LCBR ( #1) for over $421 Million in sales 2023.

Reynolds Lake Oconee Properties, LLC is please to congratulate Ron Kalpak as Salesperson of the Year 2021.

Kalpak had a very gratifying 2021, not only from the sales perspective, but also from the listing side of the business. He was able to help 20 sellers successfully sell their property in 2021, while working equally hard to assist 33 buyers successfully find their dream property inside Reynolds. “I just love helping people. I want to help them fulfill their real estate goals and dreams,” he says.

Salesperson of the Year is a phenomenal accomplishment on its own. However, this is not the first year Kalpak has won this prestigious award, as he previously won in 2015, and 2020, in addition to his Sales Team of the Year achievement in 2014. Truly dedicated, Ron is celebrating 30 years with Reynolds Lake Oconee Properties and has been an Active Life Member of the Lake County Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club.

The knowledge and experience Kalpak has gained from the past 30 years of being at Reynolds has proven to be invaluable. He’s been with Reynolds since the early days, and continues to be involved in the evolution of the most unbelievable community in the world. Kalpak has experience in land development to spec homes, new construction to remodeling projects, Tennis Pro to Sales Executive, Listing agent or Buyer’s agent, being single to raising a family. He feels this gives him an advantage when helping a client. “I feel that I am uniquely qualified to assist clients no matter what stage of their journey and what they may be looking to purchase, or looking to sell.”

Kalpak says he could not accomplished any of his success without the support of his family. “There is no end to my family’s encouragement and excitement about what I do for a living,” he says. “I’m just as proud of my family and their accomplishments. I am very blessed to be surrounded by a network of wonderful family, friends, clients, and of course the most beautiful place in the world to live and work.”

Ron Kalpak named Salesperson of the Month for the month of April at Reynolds Lake Oconee Properties, LLC.

After discovering Reynolds Lake Oconee during a watersports weekend, Kalpak became Head Tennis Professional. Two short years later, Kalpak joined the sales team in 1992. “Helping people fulfill their real estate goals and dreams is what I enjoy,” says Kalpak. “I do feel that nearly 30 years at the same property, as well as living within the community with my family, is invaluable experience that you just can’t teach. I love what I do, and I think it shows.”

Tennis is a huge passion for Ron. He is a proud founder of the Lake Oconee Academy Tennis Club, and is an active participant in the tennis program and tournaments at Reynolds. “If it weren’t for tennis, I probably would never have gotten into real estate! After giving a tennis lesson to a sales agent, I was offered a job as his assistant. The rest is history as they say…”

Ron also enjoys fishing in his free time. His extensive knowledge of the local waters has led to multiple Reynolds Bass Tournament victories, including the record for the largest one-day catch in tournament history — 20.5 pounds! He may even tell you where to find the best honey holes on Lake Oconee, so you can catch some bass yourself. Quite possibly his favorite spot on the lake is where he proposed to Heidi, the catch of his life! He calls is “proposal point.”

Kalpak has become an expert at selling the Reynolds lifestyle while raising his family here at The Landing and can’t imagine seeing themselves anywhere else. For Ron, a self-proclaimed “big foodie,” few afternoons are better spent cooking on one of his four grills or smokers. Ribs, chicken, salmon, steak — if it can be put on a grill or smoker, Ron can cook it. Flanked by his wife and daughters, Niah and Love, there is no place Ron would rather be.

“With hundreds of acres and miles of shoreline left to develop, I am excited to see the vision unfold. I’m even more excited to play a role in sharing it,” says Kalpak. “I look forward to another year of helping both buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals.”

Reynolds Lake Oconee Properties, LLC is pleased to congratulate Ron Kalpak as Salesperson of the Year with 59 transactions totaling over $32 million in total dollar volume.

Kalpak's unwavering dedication to selling Reynolds' homes and homesites, as well as resale listings for Reynolds property owner, has earned him this title for the third time in his career with Reynolds. He was also part of the sales team of the year in 2014.

"Helping people fulfill their real estate goals and dreams is what I enjoy," says Kalpak.

Kalpak began his real estate career at Reynolds Lake Oconee in 1992 and has experienced a lot during this time, however, nothing could have prepared him for the circumstances of 2020.

"Shut downs and social distancing surprised everyone and caused my real estate business to slow to a near stop," he says. "All I knew was that God was in control and I decided to take the unbelievable opportunity to spend some quality time with my wife and 2 daughters. I wouldn't trade those three months for anything."

Despite these challenges, Ron was named the Salesperson of the Month in March and then again in August as the real estate market here at Reynolds began to shift rapidly.

"It was like someone flipped a switch. People from all over the country began to realize that Reynolds checked all of their boxes at a time when peace and quality of life were at a premium," says Kalpak. "My phone became a virtual tour machine with some people purchasing through video without being able to visit. Finding new ways to maintain the highest level of service was a must."

Kalpak has become and expert at selling the Reynolds lifestyle while raising his family here at The Landing and can't imagine seeing themselves anywhere else.

In addition to fishing on Lake Oconee, Ron is an avid fisherman as well. He recently netted a 30-inch rainbow trout from his favorite North Georgia river, The Soque. "Being so close to trophy trout is just one more reason Reynolds is the perfect location."
