Interest in land for Multifamily use in the Triad continues to be strong. The Sedgefield Showgrounds property sold last year for $2.2 million for a Tax Credit Affordable Housing project. This year I had a large property on Wendover that sold for a market rate apartment development. I currently have 6 different development properties in Greensboro that are under contract, one in Burlington and one in High Point, totaling 8 potential Multifamily developments that could begin next year.

So far 2019 has been an awesome year. Piedmont Place Apartments was my largest Multi-Family property to close. This 100-unit class A luxury complex sold for $16.2 Million. Now I am actively searching for similar (or larger) properties for the same buyer.

The apartment market is still on of the hottest. In the last 30 days, Kersey Manor (32 units) closed and yesterday Maywood Apartments (19 units) closed.
