Subject: URGENT: Last Day to Appeal Your 2026 Guilford County Tax Assessment
Hi everyone,

I am reaching out with a critical update regarding your property taxes. Today, May 15, 2026, is the final deadline to appeal your new tax assessment.

As you may have seen, the 2026 Guilford County Reappraisal has resulted in an average property value increase of 40% to 45% across the county. These new values are what your future tax bills will be based on.

What You Need to Know:
Appeal Deadline: Formal appeals must be submitted online or postmarked by 5:00 p.m. today.

Tax Rates: Local officials will set the final tax rates in June 2026. While values have gone up, the actual tax rate may be adjusted during the budget process.

Tax Bills: You will receive your official bill in July 2026, with payments due starting September 1, 2026.

If you have concerns about your new assessment and have not already heard from me regarding a personal review of your property, please contact me immediately. We have a very narrow window to ensure your valuation is fair before the 5:00 p.m. cutoff.
