About a year ago, I was asked to put up a flag pole bracket onto brick, I had my reservations because I did not want to ruin the appearance or integrity of the brick itself. I mounted it into the mortar joints.
It held up really well for about a year, until a couple of vicious wind storms got a hold of it…

 I decided to take a piece of pressure treated 5/4 decking material,  put a 30° chamfer all the way around,  two coats of extreme outdoor white paint, some construction adhesive, 4 concrete anchors, back into the mortar, but with a bigger footprint! 🤞

May need the drain hose replaced after six years if it hasn’t been done already. This one is almost 10 years old and dry and brittle and was leaking into the cabinet it travels through!
