Latrobe BPW offers 3 $1,000 scholarships to area students continuing their education at an institution of higher learning. To qualify, students must be a high school senior, must reside in the Latrobe/Derry area and must have been accepted to a post-secondary school or program. Application deadline is March 15, 2023. BPWPA Foundation awards up to (3) $2,500 scholarships each semester. Scholarships are available to any student (male or female, members and non-members ) with a completed application. Hi everyone! We just wanted to put this out there to give you a place for your real Christmas trees when you decide to take it down! You can bring it to the Heal Farm Animal Sanctuary. Our residents love evergreen snacks. If you live near the Sanctuary and your tree is from an organic farm, or a You-Cut farm tree we would love to receive your tree to recycle as a healthy treat.

We can only accept trees that do not have a fire retardant spray or a preservative spray (those sprays make the animals sick). Trees from the big box stores are not safe (especially if you see an orange stripe on the trunk) because of the sprays - they get trees early and from great distance.

Any trees can be dropped off at the farm next to the silo. Thank you for thinking of us!
