🧐 You have a lot of options when it comes to choosing an apartment, so keep reading to find out what you should consider in your search.

1. How Much Will It Cost
Besides rent, you’ll incur other expenses such as security deposit, application fees, pet fees, utilities, parking costs, and amenities.

2. What’s Important To You In A Rental?
Do you like to entertain? If so, an apartment that includes things like a pool, clubhouse, gym, bike racks, green areas, barbeque spaces, etc. might sway your decision.

3. Location, Location, Location
Keep in mind that location also plays a role in how much rent you’ll pay as well.

😋 The kitchen is the heart of most homes, and as such, it should convey an inviting atmosphere. If you’re looking to make your kitchen more welcoming, consider remodeling it.

🧰 Below are several ideas you might want to try in order to create the kitchen of your dreams.

5 Ideas On How To Remodel Your Kitchen

1. Cabinetry. Reface the old cabinets to freshen their look, and then rearrange their placement to give your kitchen a whole new feel.

2. Make greener choices. Choose things like recycled glass or concrete countertops, which are available in an array of designs and colors or opt for something a little more maintenance-free by choosing quartz instead.

3. Open kitchen concept. Open, airy spaces are very appealing to homeowners, and the open kitchen concept is one of the most popular

4. Kitchen islands. Adding a kitchen island is a great way to increase usable space in your kitchen as well as increase the value of your home.

5. Add backsplashes. If your kitchen sink doesn’t already have a backsplash, consider adding one. Not only are they a great way to add pizzazz to your kitchen décor, they are quite functional as they protect the wall behind the sink from moisture.

🍃 If you’re looking for eco-friendly ways to clean your home, this article is for you!

1. Eco-friendly Ceiling Fan Cleaning
Dusting the blades regularly will help keep the dust to a minimum. Start by placing an old pillowcase over one of the blades.

2. Cleaning Windows The Green Way
Get yourself some old newspapers to use in place of paper towels. Next, mix two-parts water and one-part white vinegar in a spray bottle to use as a window cleaner.

3. Gently Remove Water Rings From Wood Furniture
Mix one-part baking soda and one-part water to form a paste. Gently rub the stain with the paste until it disappears.

4. Cleans Stains From Furniture
To effectively remove stains from leather furniture, mix white vinegar and water in a spray bottle and use a soft cloth to buff the stain away.

5. Eco-friendly Carpet Deodorizer
Before you vacuum, sprinkle a light dusting of baking soda over the carpet and let it sit for 10 minutes or so to eliminate unpleasant odors within the fibers.

🏡 Are you looking to spruce up your home’s style for not a lot of money?

✨ Here are several ways to do it!

1. Get Rid Of Dated Décor
Getting rid of those 90’s country blue ducks or any other décor from decades past will give your home that fresh vibe you’re looking for.

2. Put Some Elbow Grease Into Getting Rid Of Grime
Take a look at those oft-ignored places like the windowsills and baseboards.

3. Paint!
If you aren’t sure what color to use, consider a light beige, gray, or alabaster white for that clean, fresh vibe that’ll brighten things up in a hurry.

4. Make An Accent Wall
You can use wall stickers/decals or slap on a coat of paint in your favorite shade – either will add pizzazz to the space and make you smile every time you walk into the room.

🖥️ How To Create The Perfect Work From Home Environment

Find Your Space
All you really need is a comfortable corner that’s free of distractions.

Get Creative With Your Desk
Stand-up desks are all the rage, allowing you to adjust their height and tilt to both standing and sitting positions.

Find A Productive View
For instance, a desk facing the wall may be great for limiting distractions, but when brainstorming ideas is the name of the game, a scenic outdoor view may be just what you need.

Consider The Sounds In Your Work Environment
For those who need ambient noise to be productive, find a playlist of the types of sounds (office, coffee house, etc.) that bring out your best thinking.

Ensure A Complete Setup
Make sure you have everything you need to do your job at home as if you were doing it at the office.

Ensure Constant Connectivity
Most companies have measures in place to ensure constant connectivity. In your home office, you also need to make sure you are always connected.

🏠 what amenities should you provide your tenants? Check out these 8 things you don’t need to have at your rental property.

1. Garbage disposal
This appliance is responsible for more maintenance calls than any other appliance.

2. Dishwasher
These appliances have a relatively short lifespan (6-10 years), and when they break down, can be costly to repair or replace.

3. Trash compactor
Its design is such that food and other garbage collects over long periods creating a rodent and/or insect attractant.

4. Ice maker
If a tenant decides to move the appliance to clean behind it, it could cause the water connection to leak, resulting in extensive damage before anyone realizes it.

5. Bi-fold doors
They are fragile and the top sliding hardware comes out of the track quite easily.

6. Screen doors
Avoid the inevitability of repair and replacement by opting for a much sturdier storm door instead.

7. Pools
Pools are high maintenance. If not maintained properly, they can be a breeding ground for all sorts of sickness causing bacteria.

8. Outdoor play equipment
Provide your tenants with the important things and forgo the extras to find a suitable balance for you both.

🔍 Are thinking of jumping on the real estate investing train?

👇 You may want to consider a couple of things first.

1. Time is more important than money in real estate investing
You can always make more money, but you cannot make more time. You get the time you get and that’s it.

2. The older you get the more conservative you become
For most people, age brings with it conservatism. This isn’t to say that if you’re a natural risk taker that you all of a sudden become conservative but getting older does tend to make people more conservative and less likely to take risks.

Time is far more important than money in this case as you can’t make or buy more of it. And since time is not on your side as you grow older, your options for investing become limited as well.

🏠 Are you remodelling your home and want to avoid some of the usual pitfalls?

🙀 Check out the four most common issues you might face while remodelling your home.

4 Issues You Might Face While Remodeling Your Home

1. Underestimating the expense. Having at least a 20 percent buffer above the total cost estimate ensures you can comfortably afford any cost discrepancies.

2. Failing to understand the process. Before any work begins, it’s best to sit down with your contractor and go over every aspect of the project. Discuss cost, timelines, materials, and scheduling so you know what to expect and when to expect it.

3. Miscommunication with your contractor. If you and your contractor aren’t seeing eye-to-eye on something, take a step back, evaluate your own behavior, and address the situation as need be.

4.Project delays. One of the most common reasons delays happen is waiting for materials to arrive.

🔍 Are you a new real estate investor?

👍 Here are 5 basic things every real estate investor should know.

1. Local pricing
As an investor, one of the first things you should look at is the current pricing trends in the area.

2. Mortgage pre-approval
The lender locks in an interest rate for you that stays the same regardless of interest rates at the time you actually purchase a home.

3. Developing communities
One way to ensure your success as a real estate investor is to buy properties in up-and-coming neighborhoods. Growing communities experiencing new infrastructures make for great investment opportunities.

4. Low-tax areas
If taxes are higher or are slated to rise in a given area, but a neighboring community has lower taxes, more people will want to buy in the lower tax community.

5. School rankings
Communities with high ranking schools tend to draw parents hoping to enroll their children in quality education. Good investors know that buying in such areas can lead to high profits.

🔎 Looking for a new home?

📝 Make it easier to find the things you want in a new place by creating a checklist of features you can’t live without.

What Works And What Doesn’t

This section of the checklist gets you thinking about your current home and what makes you happy – or not so much so – about it.

Amount Of Space

Do you have enough space in your current home or is there too much? Does the floor plan suit your lifestyle? What about the bedrooms? Are there enough, or do you need more? Perhaps there’s a special room you’ve never had before, such as a home office, that you’d really like in your new home.

Outdoor Spaces

The outside of your home is just as important as the home itself. In your new home, how much time are you willing to devote to exterior maintenance such as painting, staining, etc.?

The Neighborhood And Surrounding Community

Having good neighbors can make living in your dream home all the better, so don’t ignore this important aspect when searching for the perfect home.

🖌️ Want to paint a room in your home but aren’t sure what color is best? Painting a room in your home is exciting, but it can also be a little nerve-wracking.

🎨 There are so many colors to choose from, it’s hard to decide which will work best. Here are a few tips to help you choose the right color for any room!

1. Choose the paint color last. If you’re painting an empty room, wait until you’ve chosen all the furniture and other accessories before choosing the paint color.

2. Don’t rely on the paint chip. Instead of trusting the paint chip, take actual paint samples home, paint a larger area of the wall, and decide based on that.

3. Give it a few days. By checking the color in all types of light, you’ll find out if you really like the color and what kind of adjustments (lighter or darker), if any, it needs to be just right.

4. Thinking white? If you think trying to decide on a color is tough, wait until you have to choose the perfect shade of white. Whites in their various hues are a great choice for woodwork and trim because they make your colors pop.
