Every home sale has a story.
This one has always stayed with me.

I met an elderly homeowner through another client. She wanted to sell her home but had no way to get to and from the attorney's office. Then Hurricane Helene hit, making it even more important to get everything taken care of quickly.

So I drove into the mountains of North Carolina, picked her up, sat with her through the paperwork, and drove her home afterward. Some of our conversations happened around her kitchen table. Others happened over the phone whenever the cell service would cooperate.

To me, it never felt like going the extra mile. It just felt like the right thing to do.

At the end of the day, the homes matter. But the people matter more. Helping someone feel comfortable through one of life's biggest transitions is a responsibility I'll never take lightly.

🏡 Upstate Market Update

If you've been waiting for the market to "go back to normal," here's what we're seeing instead...The Upstate has become a much more balanced market than it was just a few years ago.

Buyers generally have:
✔ More inventory to choose from
✔ More time to compare homes
✔ More room to negotiate in many situations

That doesn't mean every home is sitting on the market.

Well-priced, move-in-ready homes in desirable areas are still moving quickly.

Mortgage rates are still hovering in the mid-6% range, so affordability remains an important part of the conversation. But compared to the frenzy of a few years ago, buyers today have something they haven't had in a while: options.

Every neighborhood is a little different, which is why understanding your local market matters more than following national headlines.
