Escalation clauses are used far more in our market today than they ever have been before.

An escalation clause is an addendum to the offer that lets home buyers say: "I will pay $x price for this home, but if the seller receives a higher offer, I'm willing to increase my offer to a maximum of $y price."

Home price growth is reaching the highest level in more than four decades, pushing equity gains to record highs! According to CoreLogic the average home equity gained between the third quarter of 2020 and the third quarter of 2021 is about $57,000!
