Closing day is always special, but this one is bittersweet. Congratulations to my wonderful friends on the sale of their lovely home, which went under contract in just 3 days! While we’re excited for you both as you move closer to family, we will miss seeing your smiling faces and singing with you in our church choir. Every closing has a story, and this one is especially close to my heart.
This first-time buyer came to me, preparing for marriage later in the year and ready to put down roots. He and his fiancée toured home after home and finally found one they loved but it was overpriced. We made a smart offer based on true value and waited. The answer came back quickly: no acceptance, no counter. Disappointed but undiscouraged, we kept looking. And then we found it. A bigger, better home in a great location, priced just right. As I told them, there is always another home. This buyer jumped through every hoop, navigated every step of the process and came out on the other side.
We closed yesterday. And the best part. This impressive young man will soon be my son-in-law. And the woman cheering him on every step of the way is my daughter. Welcome home. And welcome to the family, Andrew. I could not be prouder.

Closing day, but no photos of clients this time which honestly felt just right. Every closing is really about what comes next. A new chapter, a fresh start, a new season of life.

The buyer was searching for something special. A great neighborhood, not cookie-cutter, with space to breathe, neighbors not right on top of each other, and a little land to call his own. Welcome to my fabulous neighborhood.
I represented the sellers, my neighbors. For them, it was time to turn the page and step into a new life of their own. Out with the old and in with the new. And perfect to close on the last day of the year. A true win-win for everyone.

I’m grateful to have played a small part in such a meaningful transition for both sides. A friend to the sellers and now looking forward to getting to know the new buyer at neighborhood events. These are the closings that remind me of why I love what I do.

Closing Day Story

One of my favorite parts of real estate is the way God weaves people into our lives when we least expect it. A few months ago, I met my newest client while standing in a Southwest boarding line at the airport. She was enthusiastically telling the person in front of her all about Greenville, our food, our parks, and our events. She did it so well that I honestly thought she might be a tour guide! (If I didn’t already live here, I would’ve been ready to move.) We struck up a conversation, I shared that I’m a realtor, and she told me she hoped to buy a home soon. Yesterday, we closed on her beautiful new home! She was a joy to work with, and so much fun. I love these unexpected connections. Best part of the job.

Closing Day Blessing!

Six months ago, my sweet clients from out of state began their journey to move closer to their grandchildren and family. We searched high and low, prayed for the right home, and finally found one. But just days before closing, the sale unexpectedly fell through. What to do? Things packed, three dogs and a family with no where to go! 💔 It seems God had a better plan! Their daughter spotted an empty home online that had previously been unavailable, I toured it and FaceTimed them. We made an offer that same night. Offer accepted! The seller graciously let them move in early, and today we closed on what truly feels like the perfect home — closer to family, and even better than the first one. 🙏

As Proverbs reminds us, “A man plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps.”
