From a $30,000 piece of land to $1mil+ luxury homes, every transaction was different and took a certain expertise to get to the finish line successfully. Closing day! And this time we’re our own clients! We bought this condo as another investment property! If you’re new to investing in real estate or curious about it, here are a few basics-

There are several ways to invest in real estate, but Jake and I like these main 3….
1. Long term rentals- this is when you buy a property and rent it out to a tenant for a lease term
2. Short term rentals- think Airbnb or vrbo
3. Fix and flips- this is when you a buy a property that needs some love, renovate it and sell it for a profit.

When choosing a realtor to buy or sell your home, you should be looking for three things!

1. Experience- has your agent been able to buy or sell homes similar to yours for others? Are they professional in how they conduct their business and do they have the confidence to negotiate on your behalf?
2. Expertise- a great realtor should be an expert in the market, running a business, branding, strategic marketing, and sales! It’s a lot of hats, but the best of us know it all!
3. Network- knowing people is one of the most important parts of this business. An impeccable realtor will have all the right connections to find you deals before they hit the market, sell your home to the right buyer, AND be able to align you with other pieces of the puzzle to make your transaction smooth. This may include trusted inspectors, landscapers, contractors, closing attorneys, lenders, stagers etc.
