On April 23, Pintail and Barge Design Solutions hosted a panel discussion on the economic outlook of the Upstate, with a specific focus on international companies looking to add a location or grow their existing location in our region. The quality of the panelists and timeliness of the topic made for a very interesting conversation. We appreciate our speakers - Andreas Heinzelmann from Pintail, Jason Lowe of Barge, John Lummus with Upstate SC Alliance, and Marcel Summermatter from TD Bank - lending us their expertise. Meet Pintail’s Spring Interns: William Frith and Murphy Howell! We are grateful for the fresh energy that two talented interns bring to the office.

Both William and Murphy are pursuing their Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) at Clemson University. William (pictured left) is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he earned a degree in Economics and Business Administration and was a student athlete as captain of the lacrosse team. This spring, William will be working closely with Andreas Heinzelmann, Director of Industrial Solutions. Murphy is also a graduate of the University of South Carolina, earning a degree in Business Real Estate with a minor in Psychology. Hailing from Charleston, this spring Murphy will be supporting the efforts of the brokerage team of Josh Tew, Monty Todd Jr, and Anna Newton Spiers, MBA.

Last week, the team at Pintail had the honor of working with an organization with its “roots” in Greenville: TreesUpstate. Their mission is to plant, promote, and protect trees in the upstate, and now is a fantastic time to be a part of planting as many trees were lost in the hurricane this past fall. The organization has planted over 50,000 trees since its founding, and we had a blast working alongside their team and each other to maintain our beautiful city and natural landscapes along the trail at Hollingsworth Park.

Pintail welcomes Tom McMeekin to the team as a Broker Associate!

Tom’s focus will be on providing his clients with the highest level of service, providing sound CRE solutions while proactively meeting their needs.
A Spartanburg native, Tom graduated from Sewanee - The University of the South with a bachelor’s degree in history. During his time at Sewanee, Tom was a member of the Sportsmen’s Club and Phi Society of 1883.
In his free time Tom enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it be hunting, fly fishing, or watching live music with friends. A former high school lacrosse player, he also helps coach youth lacrosse.
