I'm taking a day away from market stats to recall "a day that will live in infamy." Over 2400 people lost their lives on December 7, 1941, when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor.

I visited the memorial a few years ago. While it was incredibly sad and very moving, it was also a stark reminder of the cost of freedom and of the huge debt we owe to those who willingly risk their lives to serve their country.
