One of my favorite things about living in Greenville is how easy it is to get away and come home.

If I’m craving a beach weekend, I can set aside four to five hours to drive to Charleston or, depending on the flight, spend a similar amount of time getting to Miami.

Even for international trips, starting at GSP and connecting through Atlanta or Charlotte can feel much easier than driving to a larger airport and navigating it from the ground.

My personal GSP insider tip: Valet. Garage parking is currently $19 a day, and valet is $26. For a three-day weekend, that’s $21 more to pull up, hand over the keys, and skip the search for a spot. It’s a small thing, but it changes the way a trip begins.
