You ever learn something YEARS later that suddenly makes a whole lot of sense now?

So way back on a Thanksgiving long ago, my wife accidentally left the little bag inside the turkey. We laughed, pulled it out, and moved on with our lives.

Fast-forward to recently… when our youngest casually drops the bomb that she thought that bag was full of
TURKEY BABIES.
Like… she genuinely believed we almost served a whole turkey daycare on the dinner table 😲

And suddenly her lifelong “no thanks, I’m good” attitude toward turkey makes perfect sense.
She wasn’t picky — she was PROTECTING THE CHILDREN. 🦃

So this year, in honor of Addy’s dedication to poultry safety, we might just go with ham. Feels like the responsible choice.
