Beware of scammers!

Just a heads up - please beware of scammers on Facebook but now also on Zillow.

Unfortunately Zillow accounts for property managers have been getting hacked a lot lately. The scammers are reducing the price of the rent on the property (usually to an amount that is too good to be true!) and changing the contact information on the property managers profile so when someone clicks that they are interested in a property, it is re-directing them to contacting the scammer directly instead of the property manager (but it will look as though you are talking to the management company).

Please always double check and make sure you are talking to someone in the property managers office - just Google their number and call them directly versus texting with someone from Zillow. Do not give private information over text or send money for application fees or to view properties via apps like Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, Chime, etc.

If it seems like something is off when talking with someone or prices seem too good to be true, they usually are. Please be cautious!
