Hey folks, I’m dealing with all of the leftover stuff I never dealt with when we sold the building. If anyone wants any toys please let me know and I can coordinate pickup. I’ll be here until dark and then it’s gone.

Congratulations to the new owners of Eddy Plow! We are so excited to see this historic building reach its full potential. Thank you to the Greenwich community for your continued support.

Steve was researching deeds again and found these cool pics of Eddy St and Mill Hollow. 24 is the original Eddy Plow along the river that burned down in the early 1900’s. Now, there is a hydroelectric plant there. The remnants of the large building and out building still exist along the river. The current Eddy Plow building is situated next to 21 at the top of the hill.

The old railroad tracks are intact in this depiction. The island we own, which a local kid warned me is famously called bloodsucker island, was more of a peninsula. The creek has also changed course since that time. Steve’s hypothesis is that they just pushed the debris from the fire into the creek and river creating the new shape. Fascinating!

You can also see that the area along the creek was more of a pasture. Local folks have shared memories of riding their horses there. I used to ride my little 50 4-wheeler there also! The property line of Eddy Plow ran along my childhood home on Eddy St.

A fun little piece of history while you drink your Saturday morning ā˜•ļø Enjoy this beautiful day!

I’m sure you’ve noticed that over the last year we haven’t posted much. That is because our family has had many significant events happen including moving out of state. We had to make a hard choice and put this incredible building on the market. Ultimately, we decided that we don’t want this historic building to just sit, even if we are absolutely in love with it. 🄰

Have you ever wondered why Eddy Plow sat on the market prior to us purchasing the building? That is because the property included ownership of 1/3 of the dam and the hydroelectric plant. No bank would back this building, thus potential buyers were not able to take advantage of grants to help restore its beauty and vitality.

We’ve done a lot of behind the scenes work from cleaning up the property to subdividing the land. We recently purchased a property on Eddy St. Ironically my childhood neighbor still owned the home from when I Iived on Eddy St! This allowed us to begin the subdivision process and free the building from the dam and hydroelectric plant. Now, there are unlimited possibilities for this historic building.

While this decision was hard and we know that it will take the right buyer, we are excited to see someone continue the restoration we began. This building is integral to the history of Greenwich. It has good bones, the most gorgeous views in Greenwich, and beautiful features. However, what has kept me so in love with this building is the energy. This building has so much positive energy.

This 6300 square feet Multiple Occupancy home has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It is located at 25 Eddy Street, Greenwich, NY.

Oh wow 🤩 Check out these before and afters! The view from the second floor apartments is perfection!
