I would pour over my grandfathers old architecture books, look at home listings in the classified ads, and design and draw the floor plans of what I saw (not to scale of course). My fascination has settled into historic homes and gilded age mansions with their craftsmanship and attention to detail. However, I also find myself admiring the ultra modern home blended with glass, wood & concrete from time to time as a stalwart minimalist. There isn’t much I can’t find respect for, so long as it possesses creative vision and personal style. A glimpse of the past, present and future.
