It all began when I was 3 months old. My parents packed me behind the seats of a 1966 yellow Corvette Stingray convertible and we were off! Beginning my first journey in Seattle Washington, 3,000 miles later I found myself in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. While enjoying the next 2 years in a sweet home in the bucolic Amish country, I decided it was time to experience a bit more of life. I accompanied my parents across the Atlantic to begin anew in London, England that is. After 4 exciting years and acquiring (what I am told) a lovely English accent, we decided to fly back across the ocean and return to Lancaster. Within 5 years, I was itching for adventure and the beautiful English countryside so we returned to England. Similar to the relationship between Greenwich and Manhattan, Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire was only 40 minutes by train into the heart of London. So from the age of 11, I was to spend the next 6 years attending TASIS, The American School in Switzerland, in the UK. With an exceptional education in hand, I moved back again across the Atlantic to attend Bucknell University. Upon graduation, I headed to the bright lights of Manhattan, joining Bloomingdales in their prestigious training program during the heyday of department store retailing. Over the years, I worked with the top fashion houses of Polo Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Michael Kors, Donna Karan and Lilly Pulitzer. I know what it’s like to begin again - making new friends, finding schools, all the connections for a happy life. I really do get the thrill (and challenge) of making a house into a home.
