GRE is proud to be revitalizing Atlantic Mills — a 350,000 S.F. historic mill complex anchoring the Olneyville neighborhood of Providence, RI.

Originally built between 1871–1899 as a wool textile factory, Atlantic Mills stands as a testament to Providence’s rich industrial heritage. After the mill’s closure in 1953, the property evolved into a mixed-use facility and today supports a vibrant community of creatives, small businesses, and entrepreneurs — including Big Top Flea Market, one of Rhode Island’s largest and longest running markets.

Together with Jeff & Jason Mendell, Eric Edelman, and Bob Berle, GRE is working to preserve the building’s architectural character while evolving it into a dynamic mixed-use destination. Ongoing improvements — including a new parking lot, upgraded power, new windows, and restored cupolas — will ensure Atlantic Mills remains an anchor of creativity, commerce, and community impact for another 150 years.
