In the last few months I have stayed in rental houses 🏠 and have thought of a couple things to look for if you decide to stay in one.

It is really nice to be able to stay in a house instead of a hotel, especially with pets! 🐶They can also be a better price than a hotel.

The first thing I would check, besides location, is what is offered. Make sure that if you are wanting the full house that it IS the full house. 🏠With the way the listing are set up, they will show you rooms or a shared house.
Also, with what is offered…
-towels for the bathroom 🛀
-a kitchen, if you are ok with a microwave and mini fridge, they will list that as kitchen. 🍲
-heating or air conditioning 💨
Look at the pictures! You will be able to see the small window air conditioner in the kitchen window, that might be the best option if it ‘a 100° outside.
Read the comments! Most likely someone has already stayed there and from what I’ve seen, people are honest about their experience.

Communication is key! The rental company prefers all communication to go through them, which is great! Although, you will get the contact information from the owner. This is helpful for things like a missing package delivery that the rental company doesn’t really need to know about 😉
By the way, the owners were awesome and Diesel had his treats that afternoon.

The last thing I would suggest is leave the place cleaner than you found it. I think this is just a general rule in life. ❤️
