Alabama’s entire Gulf Coast is only 53 miles long, a tiny sliver compared to Florida’s roughly 825 miles of coastline, yet Gulf Shores and Orange Beach alone still pull in around 7 million visitors a year 🌊🏖️.

Alabama loyalists say their beaches have whiter sand, less crowding, and better seafood without the Florida price tag. Florida diehards point to Destin and Panama City’s clearer water and bigger resort scene as reasons the Emerald Coast still wins. Both sides have real bragging rights depending on what you’re actually looking for. Alabama’s coast or Florida’s Emerald Coast, which one actually earns your vacation dollars?
