BRAND NEW VIDEO!

In this follow up to our previous video series about the large number of people moving to Denver from cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York City, Denver Realtor Sunny Rosario Trujillo shares her creative process for helping clients in picking a new neighborhood in Denver (or in any city!) Whether you are creative or data-driven, the first step is to picture your life in your new city. Next, gather up the data or draw up your list of fun new things to try, depending on your style and how you prefer to get your bearings in a new place.
Picking a neighborhood in a new city is like playing a game of pin the tail on the donkey. One Austin Realtor, Jeremy Knight, suggests renting an Airbnb for your transition. That way, you are not locked into the very first 'hood you try! (If you are searching for real estate in Austin, Texas, please contract Jeremy Knight and tell him Sunny sent you!) I think that is a great suggestion for anyone who is moving to a brand new city in 2020.
It is especially important to discuss current restrictions in your new city. Your Realtor can make you aware of restaurant closures and other things to keep in mind. In some cities, for example, the delivery of furniture purchased by homeowners on the move is significantly delayed. In some cases, it may make sense to take some of your old furniture on the road, in case the delivery of furniture is delayed in your new city.
If you require medications, it is imporant to fill up before you leave for your new city. Plan ahead and find a new pharmacist in Denver or in Aurora, Colorado.
