🚗 Did you know? The Chipley Building—now called Chipley Vogue—served as a Ford automotive manufacturing facility in Uptown Greenwood at the turn of the century. Built by John Chipley, the factory floor turned out early Model T and Model S cars right here in Greenwood.

The stretch facing Waller Avenue was later home to a beloved local department store, The Vogue, before renovations in the 1970s reshaped the building into what we know today. That former Vogue storefront now houses Mary Frances Limited, while the rest of the building stretches back to Phoenix Street with tenants like Sled Dawg Brewery, Moonstruck Beauty Lounge, Louise’s Salon, and the Eighth Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

From cars to couture to craft beer—the Chipley Vogue Building has always been a place where Greenwood’s story keeps moving forward.

Front page news! 🗞️🍔
Chef Christian’s smash burger at Sled Dawg Brewery just landed a front-page spot in the Index-Journal — and we’re not surprised one bit.

Craft beer, smash burgers, and local talent worth celebrating. If you know, you know. If you don’t — it’s time.

Well done, Chef Christian.

If you’re still sleeping on Sled Dawg Brewery, this is your wake-up call.
They’re not just pouring beer—they’re flipping one of the best burgers in town. 🍺 🍔 🤤

It’s gonna be Maaaaaay—at Sled Dawg.
Smash Mel’s is rolling out the May lineup and it hits harder than a 90s boy band chorus. Crispy edges, melty cheese, and zero shame. Come hungry. Regret nothing.

This evening, the Uptown Greenwood Board of Directors hosted a thank-you happy hour for the merchants of Waller Avenue in appreciation for their patience during the recent streetscape project.

Funded by a Community Development Block Grant, the project brought long-overdue improvements to the corridor—not only enhancing its visual appeal but also improving safety and accessibility for both pedestrians and drivers.

We’re grateful to the businesses that continue to anchor this block and look forward to seeing Waller Avenue thrive in the months ahead.
