Buying a home can feel overwhelming at first, but it doesn’t have to be.

That’s exactly why we’re starting this video series — to break down the buying and selling process in a way that feels clear, approachable, and helpful.

In our first video, we’re talking through what it looks like to get started as a buyer, when to loop in your lender, and how we work together behind the scenes to make the process feel as seamless as possible.

Whether you’re thinking about buying soon, sometime down the road, or you just want to better understand the process, our goal is to give you real information without the pressure.

More videos coming soon on loan programs, market questions, common buyer/seller concerns, and all the little things that come up along the way.

Thankful is an understatement!

Thank you so much to everyone who participated and donated in my very first donation drive for the Humane Society 🙏 we took a bunch of stuff inside first, so this photo only captures about half of the items we were able to donate, we also had a handful of people donate directly to their online fundraiser as well! Never could have done this without all of you, it truly does take a whole community working together to try and give back and make things a little bit better however we can. The work that they are doing at the Humane Society of SW Washington is absolutely incredible and so much more than just an adoption center. I had the opportunity to walk around and see how much they truly do and had no idea they even have dedicated staff and space for community education programs, veterinary services for those in desperate need, a food pantry, and so much more.

This is just the start, hopefully next year we ended up needing a U-Haul! 💪

Thank you all for the recommendations as I looked to put this idea I had a few weeks ago together. I spent a lot of time sitting with and thinking about this list, and appreciate all of the suggestions.

One of the biggest goals I’ve had for awhile now is finding more ways to pour back into the communities, people, and causes that make the Portland & Southwest Washington area such a special place to live.

Going forward, a portion of every closing will help support a variety of local nonprofits, shelters, outreach programs, and organizations that are doing incredible work throughout our communities. From youth mentorship and housing support, to supporting our veterans, mental health resources, animal welfare, and seasonal donation drives, I want every transaction to represent something bigger than just real estate.

Real estate has always been deeply relational for me, and I’m incredibly grateful for every client, referral, conversation, and bit of support that allows me to continue building a business rooted in people first. I never thought this would be the career I would end up doing, but I wouldn’t change it for anything.

Thank you all for helping make this possible.

If you need a fantastic HVAC company your 1st call should absolutely be to ProTemp heating and cooling!

Not only are they the #1 company I refer out to my clients, but I also use them on my personal home. Out of all of my contractors, they are one of my easiest referrals to give out and feel 100% confident in their services.

Finley and I need your help!! 🐕🐾🐈

Kicking off something new.

Now through May 21st I’ll be collecting donations for the Humane Society for Southwest Washington.

Most needed: Cat Food
Also accepting: dog food, leashes, collars, beds, blankets, towels, toys, or monetary donations (gently used is great, just not damaged)

In addition to starting donations with each closing I have moving forward, this will be the start of a quarterly donation drive focused on giving back to our community in a more consistent way.

If you’d like to contribute, message me and I can coordinate pickup, or can drop off directly at my office.

Hello everybody,

I had a really meaningful meeting this past week with someone else within the real estate industry, and as we were talking and getting to know each other better, they left me with a question that has really stuck with me.

We were discussing our passions and goals outside of work, what drives us. I shared that lately I’ve been feeling a strong pull to make a bigger impact on my community and to genuinely support my friends and the people around me as much as I can. At the same time, I also expressed that while I try to do as many “one-off acts of kindness,” as I can, I haven’t quite found something that feels as consistent or as impactful as I’d like it to be. Instead of just striving to help one person whenever I have the opportunity to do so, how can I help dozens+.

They asked me if I had ever considered using my work, my voice, and the opportunities that come with it to create a system that consistently gives back in the way I’m hoping to.

That question led to a really meaningful conversation, not just about finding ways for me to give back, but about how I can help foster a sense of community around giving back as well.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to start donating a portion of each of my closings to 1 of 6 non-profits or charities that are truly striving to make a positive and lasting difference in people’s lives.

Because I want this to be something that grows and involves the people around me, I’d love your help.

Which organizations do you see making a real, positive impact in people’s lives?

My goal is to create a list of six options, and at the end of every closing, I’ll ask my clients which organization they’d like the donation to go to, and I would then make the donation in their name instead. That way, they have a say in it, and together we can all play a small part in making things a little bit better.

I’d really appreciate any suggestions you have—feel free to comment or message me directly.

When the world is hard, let’s all work together to make it a little bit easier. Even if idealistic, let’s all try regardless.

Curious what the Portland Metro Real Estate market feels like right now?

The market feels like driving a sports car with the gas pedal all the way down… but the e-brake is still on.

There’s strong demand, buyers want to buy, sellers want to sell… the market wants to be active…

But with high interest rates, low inventory, and elevated pricing, there’s a lot of volatility and uncertainty.

So what we’re seeing isn’t a market that’s stopped… it’s a market that’s moving, just more cautiously and intentionally.

Buyers are taking their time, sellers are being more strategic… and deals are still happening every single day.

Because of that, right now you actually have more opportunity to negotiate, ask questions, and make decisions without feeling rushed.

But here’s the key…

The moment we see healthier rates, or a return to long-term stability… that e-brake comes off.

And when it does, this market is going to move fast.

So while things may feel a little uncertain right now… this is actually where some of the best opportunities are created.
