MOLD BASICS - Mold that we can see is not typically the problem. We see it so we treat it and clean it or remediate depending on severity.

The problem with mold is what you cannot see and that is what is in your indoor air quality. Mold spores are tested based on spores/cubic meter. Testing not only determines which mold types are present but also give spore counts for each type.

Indoor air quality with an elevated mold spore condition can be remediate. Test results also describe common allergies. You do not have to have had a .major flood or moisture intrusion to have a mold spore condition. Central a/c units have the potential for causing these conditions when not properly serviced, cleaned, etc. Message me me. LHI 10781 IAC 02-4743

Product Recall
Square D brand breaker panels are popular on the Northshore and Southshore. Schneider Electric initiated a recall this past June of the QO Plug-on Neutral Load centers due to a potential issue with the load center overheating which can be a thermal burn or fire hazard.

The QO Plug-on Neutral Loadcenters were manufactured between February 2020 to January 2022. The panels are identifiable by the QO numbers on the label inside the panel door. All of the affected QO numbers are listed on Schneider Electric's website https://www.se.com and also the US Consumer Safety Products website https://www.cpsc.gov.

The picture shows the interior panel where the metal plug-on bars are visible, running vertically above both breaker columns. Square D has a history of having good products from what I know and they have an avenue for replacing the panels should you have one.
