The Town's Animal Control Officer will soon begin trapping feral cats throughout the community in an effort to reduce the growing feral cat population.

If your cat is allowed outdoors, please make sure it is wearing a collar with current identification tags. Without a collar or other form of identification, Animal Control has no reliable way to determine whether a cat is a family pet or a feral animal.

We strongly encourage all cat owners to register their cats and ensure they have proper identification before trapping operations begin. Cats that are trapped and determined to be unowned may be relocated or rehomed outside of the area.

Taking a few minutes now to properly identify your pet can help prevent unnecessary confusion and ensure your cat is safely returned home.

If you have questions about cat registration or animal control procedures, please contact Town Hall or the Police Department.

Big Horn County Maintenance Job Openings- Full Time and Seasonal:
The Big Horn County Maintenance Department is currently seeking an individual to fill an immediate
opening as a Grounds Keeper. This is a full time county position with excellent health insurance,
retirement, sick leave and vacation benefits. This position is responsible for grounds and maintenance of
County buildings, parks and fair grounds. This position must work well with others, be self- motivated
and possess a valid driver’s license, and pass a criminal history background check. Necessary skills
include Landscaping, basic understanding of plumbing, and preventative maintenance of equipment,
general maintenance, and janitorial skills. A job description and application are available
