The Resident Services Coordinator facilitates and implements core programs as delegated by the program model. Collect and record data to measure program outcomes. Identify human and community service needs of residents. Develop strategies to link residents with needed services, including assistance in overcoming various barriers that might impede access to services. Build community partnerships that bring services and notice to the property; ambassador/advocate of the property, seeking volunteering, selling the brand. When other services are not available, may deliver direct services. Actively participate with other staff working toward resident stability.
Experience:
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
-Computer software experience with Word, Excel and Outlook, preferred
-2 years' experience in community development, social services or related field required.
-Experience conducting community assessments, applying the principles of conflict management, and organizing community groups, events, or programs preferred.
-If working in a specialized program, knowledge and experience in that specialty required.
-Experience working with diverse cultures.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
-Implement priority programs and essential activities/ as outlined in the Resident Services (RS) program model.
-Collect required data for designated program components and record data in the -database in an accurate and timely way.
-Maintain all reporting requirements set by funding and/or government agencies.
-Evaluate outcomes of regularly scheduled on-site programs and services as required.
-Develop a comprehensive understanding of residents (conduct needs assessments, community meetings, etc) in order to offer residents the opportunity to assist their community and to guide them towards appropriate services and resources.
-Report child, dependent adult and elder abuse and neglect according to state law.
-Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of available community resources (employment, education, social service agencies, etc) for residents.
-Participate in and/or lead activities within and in collaboration with partner agencies that build professional capacity and enhance working relationships.
-Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and individuals, with an emphasis on providing on-site services to residents and the community.
-Assist with developing, implementing, facilitating, evaluating and publishing a monthly calendar and resident newsletter to inform residents of upcoming activities; maintain a current schedule of events
-Recommend supplies and materials needed to support resident events and programs
-Plan parties and activities, decorate the community according to the season and/or holiday throughout the year, and host monthly birthday parties to honor residents
-Maintain records of all activities, including resident participation and satisfaction
Community Building Collaboration
-Establish and maintain a well-rounded activity/event schedule that promotes resident interaction and relationship building within the apartment community and the community at large.
-Interface with community leaders, politicians, and local agencies.
-Identify and connect resources to the community to establish viable partnerships which support the overall community-building effort.

-Drive the resident experience by welcoming new residents into your community, providing them with relevant information, understanding their requests, and answering questions
-Make a special effort to include newer residents by engaging them in activities and introducing them to others in the community with similar interests and backgrounds
-Display your outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills while driving Better Living operational standards and programs
