Today was more than just a closing for me and Tina… it was personal.
Many years ago, the best man in my wedding stood beside me on one of the most important days of my life. Today, we had the honor of helping his daughter close on a home of her own.
This journey wasn't easy. We searched for over six months. We looked at house after house, wrote offers, faced disappointments, and had moments where it felt like the right home would never come. There were times when we were ready to give up. Times when frustration tried to creep in. But through it all, we kept praying. We trusted God's timing, even when we couldn't see what He was doing behind the scenes.
We have known her since she was born. We watched her grow up, and being the godparents of her daughter makes this moment even more special. To see her now as a homeowner, building a future for her family, is something that's hard to put into words.
Today wasn't just about handing over keys. It was about witnessing God's faithfulness. It was about seeing prayers answered. It was about watching someone we loved like family reach a milestone that she worked so hard for.
There were plenty of moments when it seemed like the door wasn't going to open, but God had a plan all along. The right house came at the right time, and today we celebrated what He had already prepared.
We couldn't be more proud of you Erin Smith. Thank you for trusting us to walk this journey with you. Watching you grow from that little girl into the amazing woman, mother, and homeowner you are today has been a true blessing.
