🚨Updated Crystal Mall Scoop!🚨

📣Crystal Mall in Waterford will be ending the majority of its operations on March 31st according to a statement from General Dynamics Electric Boat, the owner of the property.

🛍️Most mall activities will end on March 31st with the majority of the remaining tenants vacating the mall by that day. A few remaining tenants will continue operating past this date under an accommodation with EB including H&R Block, Buffalo Wild Wings, and others.

🛍️The design of the new EB facility (utilizing the existing mall buildings) is underway with renovation work beginning in the former Macy's location. The facility will be home to new offices, a training center, and other support services for EB's Groton facility.

🚨New Waterford Scoop!🚨

📣Electric Boat has confirmed the Crystal Mall will remain open through the holiday season. The submarine manufacturer purchased the mall last month for $25 million with plans to convert it to office and laboratory space for between 3,000 and 5,000 employees.

👉The mall will be open and managed through the holiday season and into 2026. Electric Boat is working with existing tenants to plan their futures. Santa will be on-site for the 2025 Christmas season!

👉We will be tracking the relocation of the mall's current tenants. So far here are the already announced plans:
-Lenscrafters will be relocating to a new space at New London Mall. The eyewear chain will occupy the space formerly occupied by America's Best.
-Toy Vault plans to remain in the area; currently shopping for retail space in the area.
-Memories Ink has opened a new location at Tanger Outlets inside Foxwoods.
