In Alabama, there’s a stunning, natural spring-fed pool that is known as one of the largest in the entire US…the Pearce Pool at H.W. Pearce, Jr. Memorial Park! Located in Jackson, this huge swimming spot measures about 438 feet by 108 feet, giving visitors the feel of a classic summer swimming hole mixed with an old-school water park. The water is fed by natural springs, so it stays cool even on hot Alabama days, which makes it a refreshing place to spend several hours. Around the pool, you’ll find areas for different ages and swim levels, including a shallow toddler section, lap lanes, diving boards, water slides, floating inflatables, and space for games like water basketball and volleyball.

Families can spread out near the sandy areas, use the bathhouse and changing rooms, or settle under picnic pavilions for lunch. Visitors often like the large playground nearby, and there is also a snow cone stand during the season.
