✅ Busy day with J. Gregory Home Inspections in Crestview, FL!
Today we completed two thorough home inspections:
🏠 New Construction Home
Fresh build with great potential, but we discovered missing attic insulation and several electrical issues that need to be addressed before closing. Good news, these are much easier (and cheaper) to fix now while the home is under warranty and the builder is involved!
🏡 2017-Built Home
Solid 8-year-old property that has been reasonably maintained. Notable findings included roof structure concerns and HVAC issues that the buyers will want to negotiate or budget for. Overall good bones, but these items highlight why professional inspections are so important.

📍 Pensacola, FL – New Construction Inspection Complete!
Just finished inspecting a brand-new home in Pensacola today. Even with new construction, it’s smart to have a professional inspection—issues can still slip through.
Here’s what I found on this one:
⚠️ Damaged roof truss connection plates – critical for structural strength
⚠️ Substandard attic insulation – can lead to higher energy bills and comfort issues
⚠️ Exterior grading sloping toward the home – directs water toward the foundation and increases moisture risk
These are the kinds of items that are much easier (and cheaper) to fix now rather than after closing.
