Soundside High School Proposed Zones: NOW AVAILABLE!

The proposed zones were shared at the December 11, 2025 school board meeting. You can find the public hearing notice, zoning scenario information, and the three proposed zones on our website created specifically for SHS zoning at the link below.

*Note: There are three proposed zones. The colors signify the proposed zone (purple, pink, orange). Those IN the colored area would be zoned for Soundside High School.

Public Notice:

A public hearing will be held on January 15th at 5:30 p.m. at the Santa Rosa County School Board Room, 5086 Canal Street in Milton to formally adopt the new attendance zones. The following schools will be affected: Navarre High School and Gulf Breeze High School

Copies of specific maps of the zones that would be implemented, if the proposed boundary revisions are approved, will be made available for study and examination at the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Karen Barber, at 6032 Highway 90, Milton, Florida 32570, Monday through Friday, December 12, 2025 through January 15, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. In addition, during this same time frame, the proposed boundary revisions will be made available for review on the District’s website.

Buying new construction can be great (brand new house wohoo 🤩)but a very stressful experience at times. I am a huge advocate for buyers to have their own representation with builders. Below are a few reason why, as a buyer, you need a Realtor in your corner. 💪🏼

#1: The sales agent works for the builder.🫥 Read that again….The sales agent works for the builder and has the builders best interests at all times 😳

#2: A Realtor represents you and will be your advocate with the builder.🤝

#3: With new construction, you DO NOT save the money by not using a real estate agent. Your purchase price does not change so it makes sense to have representation looking out only for you. 👀

#4: Your Realtor should have an awesome network set up with referral sources that will also work for your best interests. 🏆

#5: Your Realtor will guide you throughout the entire process and beyond.☺️

#6: Advice Regarding New Home Construction Upgrades. A Realtor will help you make the best decisions for your use of the house and not push you to make things that will just line a builder’s pocket with their markup. 🤑

#7: Keeping Your Home Builder Accountable to the contract and timelines. If you have representation outside of the builder, the builder is forced to be much more accountable. Without representation, no one is fighting for you. ✊

#8: Assistance With Selecting The Perfect Lot For Your New Home. A Realtor will help you make sure the upgrade is worth it, not just because a builder’s sales rep says it is. 🏞️

#9: A Realtor can sell you any new construction while a sales agent is limited to that builder. A Realtor can pull all the new construction and help you make an educated decision when comparing builders. 🏘️.

#10: I’m really fun to work with! 😅. I take the heaving lifting off you when dealing with new construction and I genuinely want what is best for you. 🩵
