Let the SRIA Pensacola Beach office know how you feel about this only 2 per Bedroom and 2 people in the whole rest of the house!
In America, especially with our Government trying to take away More & More of our Constitutional Rights. Do you think that our local body called the Santa Rosa Island Authority be allowed to restrict parents rights to have their bedrooms furnished with these types of living arrangements in their Personal Property and Rental Units to accommodate kids and young adults?
This all started with Rhonda Dorfman and the PBA small group of complainers, mostly transplants from other areas, pressuring Robert Bender to pass an Ordinance restricting occupancy to 2 persons per Bedroom and 2 persons in the entire rest of the house. This would severely limit the property owners ability to have bonus rooms, oversized living/family rooms and fold out sofas.
Keep in mind that not only will the county take quiet a major reduction in sales and SRIA taxes but, when vacationers are denied the number of occupants that they need for their vacation rental, what will they do? RENT ELSEWHERE!
All of the complaints arising out of Short Term Rentals are already covered by ordinances, codes, laws, and regulations with the exception of garbage pick up. The County Commissioners need to respect their Cash Cow Tourism and start to budget for 2 Compliance Officers that enforce the rules etc. As far as garbage, just schedule 2 garbage pick ups.
All of these irritations can be solved by Common Sense solutions instead of severely affected property values, Rental Income, businesses, and Taxes collected.
