RPM Beach Day Basics: Leave Only Footprints

Our beaches are one of the most beautiful parts of the Gulf Coast — and a little care goes a long way in keeping them safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone. ❤️

Before you head back from your beach day, here are a few important local tips many visitors may not know:

✔️ Fill in large holes before leaving
Deep holes can become dangerous after dark for people, sea turtles, and beach crews.

✔️ Knock down sand castles & tents
Leaving large structures behind can create hazards overnight.

✔️ Respect dunes & sea oats
They help protect our coastline from erosion and are protected in many areas.

✔️ Take all trash with you
Even small items like straws, bottle caps, and food wrappers can harm wildlife.

✔️ Don’t feed seagulls
It may seem harmless, but it creates aggressive behavior and bigger problems for future guests.

✔️ Use rinse stations when available
Helping keep excess sand out of condos, pools, elevators, and walkways makes everyone’s stay better.
