Porches, Balconies, Common Yard Areas
Although Lyman Manor allows its residents to plant and decorate outside of their apartment, it seems to have gotten out of hand. Effective immediately, the following rules will be strictly enforced. You have until Friday, November 7, 2025 to comply before notices will be distributed:
• Plants may be planted along the outer wall, but plant beds may not extend more than 3 feet from the edge of the building.
• Each household will be allowed two (2) outside chairs and one (1) small table. This furniture must be designed for outside use.
• Rugs and other coverings are not allowed on the grass.
• Under the stairs is NOT a storage area for tires, coolers, etc. You may store a grill, a bike or riding toys under the stairs providing the area stays neat and there are no complaints. All other personal items must be stored in your apartment.
• Upstairs balconies must have ample room for an egress. Emergency personnel must be able to maneuver a gurney or other emergency equipment up and down stairs and through doorways.
• At no time is it allowed to attach any item to the building, especially nailing or pinning into the siding.
• Any personal items or structures must be removed from common grounds.
• At no time are vehicles allowed on the grass or sidewalk.

Cars: Vehicles must be in working order. Working on vehicles is strictly prohibited. Using jumper cables to charge a battery is allowed. If your vehicle has not moved, you will be asked to move it to prove it runs. All non-operating vehicles, vehicles with flat tires or major leaks will be tagged and towed.

Pest Control: Pest Control will be performed on the 3rd Thursday of each month. You must allow the technician to enter and treat your home. If you experience pest issued, please notify the office immediately.
Buildings A and B: March, June, September, December
Buildings C and D: January, April, July, October
Buildings E and F: February, May, August, November

Laundry Room Rules

1. Clean up after yourself: wipe up spills, clean the lint trap, throw away dryer sheets.

2. Do not overload the machines.

3. Set a timer to remind yourself to move/remove your clothes.

4. Handle other’s laundry with care: When removing from a machine, place nicely on the table.

5. No Pet bedding allowed.

6. No clothes with strong odors or chemicals on them.

7. If you suspect you have bed bugs, do not launder any items in this laundry room.

8. Ensure that the door is closed and the lock engaged when leaving.

9. If there is a problem with the machine, first report it to the company (number on machine). Second, report it to the manager so she can put an “Out of Order” sign on it.

We apologize to everyone on the South side of the B building at Lyman Village. The Stair Man replaced the wrong stair case. Notices went out to the North side (the side that was supposed to be replaced).
