And before y’all get mad at me… hear me out. I’m not driving all across the coast, coordinating showings, and spending multiple hours touring homes… JUST for the lender to call us afterward and say, “Yeahhhh… they can’t afford that.” 😩

I’ve learned a lot about real estate by helping people buy and sell homes, but I’ve also learned a lot by simply paying attention to how people actually live.

The finishes that felt like a huge deal during the house hunt often become background noise. The neighbourhood you love, the people you see every day, the commute you make five times a week, and whether your home actually works for your life tend to matter a whole lot more.

As a school counselor, I know just how much our teachers pour into their students every single day. They work HARD and deserve all the appreciation! ❤️

So as a realtor, I am intentional about connecting with our local schools and finding little ways to love on our teachers and staff. So I put together a little breakfast for the teachers at Central Elementary School - an apple bar with toppings, fresh fruit, and some breakfast pastries. 🥐🍓

So, if you haven’t been to Chicago 6ix Street Food Bar & Grill in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, you are seriously missing out! This might just be the best Philly cheesesteak I’ve ever had! I’m not even exaggerating, it was THAT good. I ate the whole entire thing! 😂

I’ve been wanting to share this story because this one meant so much more to me than just another closing. ❤️🏡

Jalissia originally signed up for my FREE Homebuying Workshop in June in Pascagoula. But that morning, the sky decided to fall OUT! Pascagoula floods so she couldn't make it!! IYKYK😂🌧️

I followed up with her afterward and we made plans to get together. But then…life happened. Our schedules didn’t line up and we kept missing each other so we just ended up talking on the phone via 3 way with her husband.

They completed their application, got pre-approved, and then we started looking. The important thing was they wanted at least 4 bedrooms, but what they really wanted was a 5-bedroom home.

And y’all…we LOOKED REAL HARD. 😂

We searched and searched, and there just wasn’t anything on the market that fit what they were looking for and was within their budget.

Honestly, I’m not going to lie..I was getting a little discouraged for them. We were not finding anything that worked for them.

Then a beautiful 5-bedroom home that was in their budget was listed!

I sent them a message immediately and said, “We need to go see this house today!”

And that’s when Jalissia told me something I will never forget.
She said that that very morning, God had told her she was going to get a 5-bedroom house. She was so firm and sure that she heard God!

Y’all. 😭

I just sat there thinking about how God works.

We had been searching. We couldn’t find it. I was starting to wonder when the right house was going to come along. I was even like y'all might just have to wait a little longer or expand your search parameters ..

But God already knew.
He knew the house was coming.
He knew when it would hit the market.
He knew it would be in their budget.
And He knew exactly what they had been praying for.

And then He allowed me to be there to watch it all unfold. This homebuying journey genuinely encouraged my faith.

It reminded me that just because you don’t see it yet doesn’t mean God isn’t working behind the scenes.

Sometimes we start looking at what’s available and adjust our expectations because we don’t see a way for it to happen.

But what if we believed Him for MORE?

What if we stopped putting limits on what we think is possible?

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think…” — Ephesians 3:20

That’s my biggest takeaway from this experience:
BELIEVE GOD FOR MORE. 🙏🏽

Not because everything will always happen exactly the way we want it to, but because He is able to do far more than we can see, imagine, or figure out on our own.
