One of the easiest things you can do during a build that you’ll be VERY glad you did later.
Before the drywall goes up, take pictures of your walls from every angle.
Why?
Because once everything is covered, you can’t see where your electrical, plumbing, studs, blocking and other important things are located.
Those pictures can be incredibly helpful years later when you want to hang something heavy, mount a TV, install shelves, make changes, or simply need to know what’s behind the wall before you start drilling.
Take more pictures than you think you need. Get wide shots and close-ups, and save them somewhere you’ll actually be able to find them later.
It takes a few minutes during the build and could save you a LOT of guessing later.
