I was born in Del Rio, Texas at Laughlin AFB to an Air Force family. When I was still small, my family moved to Oklahoma, where I gr
aduated from Midwest City High School. I married an Air Force man and have spent my adult years traveling the world and raising a family with him. We have lived in Okinawa, Japan (where my daughter was born), Nebraska (where my son was born), Georgia, Las Vegas, and Germany. I have pretty much visited every country and city on my bucket list, some more than once. Don’t get me started on Rome….I will monologue…then pull out pictures…then plan a vacation together. Paris was about 6 hours from my house, and every time I drove into the city I was grateful for the opportunity to experience it’s history and magic. Traveling has made me more aware of not only different cultures, but also made me appreciate my own. Every corner of the globe has something that makes it special, and I have learned to look for that defining characteristic every place I visit…even within my own neighborhood. Take a look around; there’s some pretty cool people right here. I have also been lucky enough to have been able to pursue my educational goals. I have Bachelor degree’s in Political Science and Secondary Education, and finished my Master’s in Public Administration degree this past year. Dreams of working on my Doctorate still linger, and I’m sure I will know when the time is right to start working on that particular bucket list item. All of my education has been directed at serving my community in some capacity. Working on my M.P.A. made me realize that service is not limited to government office; service is universal. I have always been around real estate; my aunt is a broker, and one of the places I feel most comfortable is sitting in a chair in her office. Now that I have my license, I feel even more connected to my aunt, and I believe that I understand her much better. Being a Realtor is such hard work, but we love it. I cannot tell you how excited I get when someone asks to me to run a market analysis or sales comparison for a house. It also requires a great deal of continuing education and licensing, so my obsession with learning is also met. So this is what this long, rambling dissertation about me comes down to:
First, I love what I do. You shouldn’t be in this business if you don’t. Never say your sorry you “wasted my time” if the house we tour isn’t the one; this is what I do, and sometimes knowing what you don’t want puts you on a direct path to what you do want. Second, the core of my belief system is service to others, meaning I put my clients first. For me, this means being honest with everyone, being aggressive in the pursuit of my clients dreams, and working tirelessly to achieve my clients goals. And Third, I will continue to Educate myself on current real estate laws and policies so that my clients can be secure in the knowledge that I will gain the best outcome for every real estate transaction.
