👩‍🌾As the seasons change outside, we’re turning our attention back to the garden inside! It’s the perfect time to give our houseplants a little extra love…repotting the ones that need more room, propagating some favorites, checking that those roots are looking healthy, and even treating the soil to keep pesky gnats at bay.
And if you’re doing some indoor potting of your own, I highly recommend this set up - a tidy tray makes the process so much easier (and less messy!), and I love the potting soil from Magnolia Garden Village!

Smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers…they may not be the most exciting part of preparing your home for the market, but making sure everything is properly installed, up to date, and meeting your municipality’s requirements is an important step.
🍂 Fall is a great time to check these items off your home-maintenance list whether you’re planning to sell or staying put. Requirements can vary by township, so be sure to find out exactly what applies to your home.
And if a sale is on the horizon, this is where having an experienced realtor in your corner can make a difference. There are so many details that go into getting a home from “we’re thinking about selling” to the closing table, and my job is to help you anticipate them, prepare early, and avoid unnecessary surprises along the way.

Getting ready for my daughter’s baby shower, I had so much fun dreaming up DIY touches to bring our traditional storybook character theme to life. My goal? Keep everything relatively easy to execute, but still make it feel creative, unexpected, and personal. I’ve gathered inspiration from beautiful events I’ve attended and ideas I’ve seen along the way, then had fun putting my own spin on things and coming up with a few original creations just for this day. ❤️ Sometimes the simplest DIY projects end up being the details that make an event feel the most special! Life has a funny way of changing our plans. ❤️ I wasn’t expecting a move to be on my radar this year, but with our first grandchild on the way, life shifted, and we had to pivot pretty quickly! I see the same thing happen with friends and clients all the time, for so many different reasons. It’s why I’m a big believer in doing a little rightsizing before you actually need to. It doesn’t have to mean clearing out your whole house. Start with one thing you haven’t used, touched, or thought about in a while. Do you truly love it? If not, maybe it’s time to donate it. One item becomes a drawer, a drawer becomes a closet…and little by little, you’re making life easier for your future self. And if a move is somewhere on your horizon, having someone who understands how to help you prepare can make all the difference. Thinking about what your next chapter could look like? Fall in the garden is all about finding that balance between maintenance, planning, and enjoying what’s blooming! 🌸
With my daughter’s baby shower coming up, I’m tackling the weeding and cleanup piece by piece, timing everything so the garden looks its best without driving myself crazy trying to do it all at once. And loving that there’s still so much beautiful color to enjoy. I’m letting those blooms and branches shine outside a little longer before clipping a few favorites for arrangements and vases at the shower💐

🌿 Let’s turn your extra basil into something delicious! We’re making basil butter two ways…both incredibly simple, full of fresh flavor, and perfect for putting that end-of-season basil to good use. 🧈
Spread it on warm bread, melt it over veggies, add it to your favorite meal…or tuck it away in the freezer for later!

While we were away, this one definitely had a rough time. But a plant looking a little worse for wear doesn’t always mean it’s time to give up!
Look for those little signs of healthy growth, trim away what’s dead, and give it the water, light, and care it needs. Just look at the difference two weeks can make! 🪴💚

Garden jalapeños piling up? 🌶️ Let’s pickle them!
Pickled jalapeños are one of my favorite ways to use up an abundant garden harvest…they’re easy to make, packed with delicious flavor, and perfect for adding a little kick to all kinds of recipes. And bonus: they make such a fun homemade gift! 🎁
A jar for the fridge, a jar for a friend…everybody wins. 😉

Recipe from Break the Spice on Pinterest:
- 1/2 lb jalapeño
- 3/4 cup distilled white vinegar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tbs sugar
- 1 tbs salt
- 5 cloves of garlic

The jalapeños are showing off this time of year! 🌶️🌿 The garden is absolutely full of them! So many are ready to harvest, while others are still flowering and growing.
And I already know exactly what I’m doing with this haul…pickled jalapeños! 😍
