The questions I’ve been getting the most from neighbors and people passing by garden lately is about my roses 🌹
These beautiful blooms you’re seeing now actually started with the pruning I did back in late winter/early spring, and it really does make such an impact! Different types of roses benefit from different pruning techniques depending on how you want them to grow and how they’ll best thrive throughout the season.
I especially love my David Austin Roses for their gorgeous blooms, fragrance, and classic garden charm 🤍 They bring so much beauty and joy to the garden this time of year!

Come along with me as I get updated headshots for the first time in over 10 years! 📸✨ Watch until the end for my four faves, and leave a comment letting me know which one you like most and a word that comes to mind when you look at it!
It felt like time for photos that truly reflect where I’m at in life and business today…a little older, a little more experienced, and still very much myself!
✅ First, it’s hair & makeup with the incredibly talented Casey from I Do Hair & Makeup. Casey and I go way back…we used to be neighbors, I trusted her for my daughter’s wedding, I’ve helped her family with their real estate needs over the years, and she’s always my go-to whenever I need hair and makeup done. What I love most is that she never makes you feel overdone! Her work is classic, wearable, and always still feels like you. Plus, she’s simply wonderful to work with!
✅ Then it was off to my shoot with Colette Oswald Photography in Downtown Haddonfield. Like many people, getting in front of the camera can feel a little nerve wracking, but Colette creates such a comfortable atmosphere and makes the entire experience feel easy and natural. She’s a true professional with such a great eye and incredible talent behind the lens.
So grateful to work with amazing local women-owned businesses that make the process feel fun, collaborative, and authentic from start to finish! ✨

Now that we’re beyond Mother’s Day and past the last frost date…you know what that means 🌿☀️ Time to get those warm weather plants in the ground and direct seed hot weather seeds!
If you started seeds indoors, now’s the exciting part…transitioning them outside and getting your garden planned out for the season ahead. Different warm weather plants all have different spacing and planting needs, so having a few helpful tools on hand can make gardening so much easier and more successful!
One garden tool I’ve been loving lately? A shovel with built-in measurements right on the blade for digging depth and spacing, such a simple but genius way to make planting more strategic and efficient while keeping the process fun. 🌱

Ice cream date day at Maya’s Mexican Ice Cream Shop in Haddonfield!🍦✨
From the classic flavors we all know and love to the unique Mexican-inspired flavors that are absolutely worth trying, everything we’ve had here has been delicious!
Not only is the ice cream amazing, but we love supporting this wonderful family-owned business right here in town. 🤍 Such a fun little gem to visit whether you’re out with friends, on a date, or just craving a sweet treat this season.
I’ve already been multiple times and somehow keep finding new favorites… can’t wait to come back again! 🍨

Back in my happy place…AKA the dirt tending to my spring garden 🌿🌸 Lower back issues may be slowing me down a little, but like I told my physical therapist…I simply can’t NOT do this 😂 This is my joy! Today’s garden tasks: cutting back the first blooms for a healthier second wave, weeding, checking for new growth, and keeping an eye out for disease. There’s always something to do out here, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way! The garden keeps growing, and so do we. 🌱

Sometimes downsizing starts long before a move 🏡✨ Going through bins, closets, and keepsakes and deciding what to keep, pass along, or let go of can feel overwhelming, but it’s also such a gift to your future self.
Remember, you can hold onto the memories without holding onto the physical things, and creating a little more room and organization now can make future transitions so much easier, and declutter your space and your mind today.
What’s one thing in your home you know you could probably let go of, but haven’t yet?

Before you panic… 😅✂️
This is what rejuvenation pruning looks like on a crape myrtle that was hit hard by scale. Sometimes going all in is exactly what it takes to save it 🌿
Cutting it back this far may look crazy, but it gives the tree a real chance to come back stronger and healthier.
Stay tuned…we’re trusting the process on this one! ✨ Anyone else having scale problems this spring?
