Budget corrected/ explained that it was for past expenses , after we received it? We only found out because one of us questioned the reason for the hike in maintenance . Something is wrong with that. Why didn’t they have enough money after we borrowed millions to cover whatever that was for? Why give so many raises if we’re trying to keep costs down ? Why was that not a line item on the budget ?Why didn’t we have enough money from the last budget to cover that cost? Why weren’t we told about this last year? So convoluted, I can’t follow what is going on here. Work stopped again?? Good luck.

So we haven’t had an in person meeting in 2+ years . We have a meet the candidates via zoom or in the lobby and they have all these rules we need to follow . Really? After three years we get to ask one question and the candidate gets to speak for 3 minutes. This Board is out of control and trying to control us.

The Board is important, we should be able to ask questions from prospective candidates. Not be muzzled .

I missed the first part of the meeting. What Board member resigned? and how was the new one chosen without us voting ?

So they are doing exterior work on the ocean side. 4 of the board members and the friends who got the new kitchen etc paid for by us , live in those corner apartments.. we have so much work to do and how long did it take to complete those projects? Or not complete them. Maybe they got that going asap in case they lost the upcoming election. I don’t remember hearing about that work or that it was part of the assessment. Ummm does anyone have any information about that? Is it in the assessment?

Today we received an email about residents parking in other peoples parking spots. We also have a note on our elevators regarding holding the door open for to long. Regarding the parking issue , we are threatened with being towed, the elevator carry’s a fine of $550.00.
Why can they not state these issues and explain
A. The elevator alarm reset costs us money $ and
B. Parking in the wrong spot causes multiple problems and a lot of extra work for the inconvenienced resident and our valet staff.
Why is this Board, Management ( who we pay for ) always taking threatening aggressive tone with us?

The Board believes it’s in the owners best interest ? How do they know? we haven’t had a in person meeting , in what? two years ?
Now we won’t have an end of year budget until February what surprises do they have in store for us then.

Now our maintenance is going up . The new manager is being paid 100 k , (35 working hours a week $50.00 an hour). Every time you turn around here they charge us more money. How about saving us some when they can? Now oh all the prices went up? Here we go again. Absentee Board is not an efficient way to run our building . This is getting to be to much.

Just an aside, why did they work on the freight elevator AFTER the passenger elevators so all the workmen have been use in the residents elevators. The new Floors are all scratched and they finally, after a month put mats down in the elevators. After Robert heard some of the residents complaining about it . Maybe if they were here on occasion they would know what’s going on here.

How many millions have they spent so far?
DEMAND an in person meeting so we can get information and ask questions, instead of just being told what they think is best for us ? What. We’re not their children .

I have to say I enjoy Saturday’s aqua workout, I don’t participate but I really enjoy the music. Also, the new HOTWIRE system seems very good. Cheaper and hopefully works well . So for all of you that think I’m only negative here are two things I think are good decisions.

Some observations:

Each year prior to elections work on the building always speeds up and is visible to residents .

Board members are in town ..

Why aren’t we having an in person meeting now?
