Hamden Recreation Department Announces
2021 FREE Fall Drive-In Movie Series
Fridays in October - Movies start at 7:30pm

HAMDEN – The Hamden Recreation Department, in partnership with the Hamden Town Center Park Commission and Hamden Police Department, announces a special Drive-In Movie Series inside Town Center Park this October!

The Drive-In Movie Series will take place Friday nights, October 8th thru October 29th on the 40ft “Big Screen” and is geared towards families, teens and couples of all ages! Limited concession vendors will be on-site, though families are encouraged to bring a meal to share in their vehicles. At this time, no picnic style seating is available at the venue – only vehicles will have access to movie sound.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a parking spot. Please be sure to follow directions and volunteers as they assist with your parking. As Town Center Park is relatively flat, parking rows will be staggered to provide the best-possible viewing angles. Attendees should enter through the Hamden Middle School and continue into Town Center Park via the access road.

The Drive-In Movie Series will run every Friday night inside Town Center Park from October 8th through October 29th with the following schedule:

• October 8th Jurassic Park (Original)
• October 15th Hocus Pocus
• October 22nd Tyler Perry’s BOO!
• October 29th THE SIXTH SENSE

Residents over 65 years of age, you can register for your Covid-19 vaccine starting on Thursday!

Governor Ned Lamont today announced that Connecticut residents over the age of 65 will be eligible to schedule COVID-19 vaccination appointments starting on Thursday, February 11, 2021, as the state rolls into the next part of phase 1b of its vaccination program.
